Town Centre Regeneration. Stephen Broadbent and Melanie were designers for the furniture and artwork features for the first two stages of planned town centre refurbishments. Elements were designed to complement improvements to the town’s gateways and various key zones within the town.

Melanie's designs included; 3 no bronze and timber Gateway Signs. 5 no fabricated ‘Sail Features’ incorporating canal imagery and decorative LED lighting. A contemporary and robust, modular bench design which can provide straight or curved seating. Architectural ‘Mast Seats’ for Marina Walk. Sculptural, bronze, timber and granite seats and hand carved granite ‘Poppy’ inlays for the memorial garden in Civic Square.

Melanie also designed and hand modelled a large bronze plaque for a new viewing platform by the Boat Museum. The plaque depicts local wildlife and the view across the River Mersey and Manchester Ship canal.
